Business Development Manager

Business Strategy & Growth:

  • Develop and execute business strategies to drive the adoption and sales of IBM Verify products and services.
  • Identify new market opportunities and customer segments for IBM Verify and other security solutions.
  • Align IBM Verify offerings with customer needs in industries like finance, healthcare, government, and retail.

Customer Engagement:

  • Build and maintain relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Work closely with sales teams, technical experts, and product managers to provide tailored solutions that meet client needs.
  • Understand customer requirements and translate them into business opportunities.

Market Analysis & Competitor Research:

  • Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in identity management and cybersecurity.
  • Conduct competitive analysis to understand IBM Verify’s position in the market and identify potential areas for differentiation.

Sales Enablement:

  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop proposals, presentations, and product demonstrations.
  • Support sales efforts by providing expertise and guiding clients through the product selection and implementation process.

Partnerships & Alliances:

  • Identify and establish strategic partnerships with technology vendors, systems integrators, and other partners.
  • Leverage IBM's global network to expand reach and create new revenue channels.

Forecasting & Reporting:

  • Provide regular updates to senior management on the performance of business development activities.
  • Manage and track sales pipelines, customer engagements, and deal progress.

Client Support & Relationship Management:

  • Oversee post-sales customer success, ensuring long-term satisfaction and value realization from IBM Verify.
  • Resolve issues and facilitate communication between technical teams and customers.

Trainee Support Engineer

The successful candidate will be part of a support team providing services to large organisations around the United Kingdom and Ireland. You will be exposed to enterprise systems, networks, cloud services and infrastructure using a myriad of technologies and protocols. You will play a key role in delivering a quality support function and with time (and experience) evolve to play an active role in leading customer engagements.

Main Duties

  • Respond to customer support requests.
  • Maintain and manage enterprise systems, including installation, patching and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain and test disaster recovery plans.
  • Develop strong relationships with customers and third-party service providers.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Organised and results focused
  • Effective communicator – both written and verbal
  • Personable with strong communication and relationship building capabilities across all levels of the business
  • Practical and logical - able to solve problems/troubleshoot

Entry Requirements

  • 2 A levels – one of which must be either Mathematics, Computer Science or any other science-based subject
  • 6 GCSEs at grade A-C (Mathematics and English are mandatory)

Working Week

35 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00, 1 hour lunch break.
